The Sabari Central School was founded by Dr. P.S.Krishnadas and his wife Dr.Mary Krishnadas in the year 1978. The couple felt the need to have an English Medium School in Cherpalcheri where their sons Rajeev, Ranjit and other children of the village would have access to high quality education.Doctor, along with his wife, then channelized all their efforts into commissioning the school project. The school began in 1978 with 20 children, a nursery teacher and an attendant.Due to the tireless efforts of Dr.Krishnadas and his team, the school gained reputation as an institution of high standards.
In order to enhance the growth and development of the school Dr. Krishnadas decided to form an Educational Trust comprising of selected parents and eminent people from the community. The proposal received an overwhelming response and the Trust was formed in the year 1983.After the Trust had taken up the Administration, it procured approval of Middle Class Syllabus from the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi in 1988.Later, the school obtained affiliation for secondary classes in 1991 and for senior secondary classes in 1993.
In October 2000, the Cherpalcheri Education Trust was strengthened by a new team of members joining the trust under the able leadership of Shri. Shashi Kumar Nair as the Managing Trustee. Thence the Trust was undertaken a number of developmental projects for the school.
The most important task before the Trust was to establish a fully accredited English Medium School having high disciplinary and academic standards . So that the educational needs of the local children could be met adequately. Consequently , solving the problem of sending children to distant schools.
